Hose clamps or worm gear clamps are used to connect two hose or like objects together. The metal clamps are manufactured with a strip of spring steel, and the band has a patterned stamped into the metal and is in the form of a ring. A screw band connects the two ends and is the mechanism that decreases the size of the band.

There are many sizes of hose clamps depending on the application. They can be made to order, and tighten with the simple turn of a screw. Hose clamps are typically made from either brass or steel.
